This is what I have learned while Daddy has been sick with a cold:

1. When people are sick they will sleep for extremely long hours and appear dead.  Let them sleep – they are much better when they sleep. Just check in on them every hour or so to make sure they’re not dead.

2. While they sleep decorate them with Christmas lights. Sick people love to be entertained.

3. Sometimes sick people refuse to eat much because getting fat is super-lame – just put any food they may have requested on top of them to remind them that they need to eat between 12 hour naps. Pancakes are good. So are oatmeal raisin cookies.

I just spent 35 minutes looking up and listening to translations of the word “banana” and wanted to let you all know that the internet is awesome. – Shaan

Here is a prototype of my mini sock applicator. Socks should always go up fairly high, lest you catch a calf-draft. But my device also insures that one’s pant cuff does not creep up the leg when sitting down. Somehow this distance expands as the subject ages. – Shaan
