It is with great honor that I announce my tribute to the great Whitney Houston in my off-off-off-Broadway play, starring me as Whitney Houston. It’ll be a stretch to pull off female and African American (considering I’m male and “Chindian”), but I think I can do it using my method-acting chops which were finely honed during a preschool production of “Dracula” last summer. And just to make double sure that this becomes the multi-media event of the season, the play will also be available in postage stamp format as well as Kindle and ringtone. – Shaan

We were originally scheduled to have a 90 minute layover in Houston on our way to Atlanta. However our short layover inexplicably turned into 5 hours. Shaan and I occupied ourselves by finalizing the details of our newly created holiday: “Empire Appreciation Day” – which commemorates the brave men and women who died when the Rebels blew up the Death Star and recognizes the courage of everyday Storm Troopers who did not support the annihilation of Alderaan. Mom accordingly turned her anger and frustration into a ball of stress that she bottled up inside herself until it became rage cancer. I’m joking – Mom took half a Xanax while Dad chilled it in a rental jacuzzi equipped with Johnny Walker Black and jalapeno poppers. – Kiran

As some of you may know, we are all heading out for Atlanta tomorrow for our cousin Sudeep’s wedding. While we are gone, my ninja warriors have been instructed to guard my most treasured belongings: my 5-gallon jug of Chummus – Costco’s Kirkland brand Nacho-flavored hummus – and my favorite AXE shower gel in a commemorative Tiffany-cut glass decanter.
