Earlier today I became Facebook friends with Tony the Tiger. And for those of you who are interested Tony is still single. Are you a woman aged 21-35, living within 10 miles of Newport Beach, adventurous and a sarcastic “braniac”? If so, perhaps Tony could show you why they say he puts the “par-tay” in the phrase “party in the back” and how to read Venn diagrams. – Kiran

What was yesterday? National Balloon Appreciation Day. In celebration, we attached Elmo to hundreds of balloons that floated him into the sky. Today we can enthusiastically report that Elmo reached the edge of space, returned safely to earth and raised awareness for our malleable and rubber-inflated friends! Well done Elmo! – Kiran

How was my field trip to Miami yesterday? My first impression? Miami is like half of my gym (the really ripped, buff half) got locked in the cafeteria and then everyone was forced to disrobe and tan. In my world, a Speedo is not a lunch outfit. Also, I am apparently very very fat. I did not know this until I arrived at the Miami airport. – Shaan

No wonder everyone’s always clamoring for an invitation to Chopra Auntie’s house. Her cookies smell as delicious as she does—like strawberries and rain and delicate clay pots drying in the sun! – Kiran

Actually, what we really need is someone to clean the interior of the Gulfstream, fetch me bottles of formula and remove all non-supermodels from my line of vision. – Shaan

KIRAN’S WORLD INTERN WANTED

We’ve had a flood of emails regarding the new internship position here at Kiran’s World. Let me start by making a few clarifications regarding the job:

1. Must be adept with Flickr and competent with basic Photoshop;
2. It is not a summer internship – we need you now;
3. Interns should be ready to give Elmo a weekly makeover and set him up on big dates; and
4. Experience with proper diaper disposal encouraged.

I’m sure by now you all have heard about the fisticuffs that occurred between Culdee the Steam Engine and Smurfette at the Whole Foods over the weekend. As it turns out, the entire episode started from a beef over small aisle space. This sort of behavior is wildly out of character for Culdee. So, perhaps this little spat wasn’t actually about personal space. Maybe he was simply taking one for the team. Team Man, that is. – Kiran

WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS STAYS IN VEGAS

What am I going to miss most about Vegas? Sleeping atop a four-poster bed constructed from gold bricks and padded with crisp dollar bills. – Shaan

We’ve met so many interesting characters here in Vegas – from relatively normal to “about to spin off the planet”. Like today for instance – on our way to Starbucks via “The People Mover” we met a four-leaf clover that talks and knows all the words to “Total Eclipse of the Heart”. – Kiran
