Here I am brainstorming ideas for my new zine “Word Ninja!”. What’s a zine? Well, before everyone and their mom and their mom’s mom had a blog, everyone had a zine. But the thing about zines is that they really require effort: stapling, photocopying, etc. But in the pioneering spirit of 1994, “Word Ninja!” plans to pay tribute to zine-sters of the past with our first issue aptly titled ‘Oldies, but Goodies’. Look for it on the magazine racks of your local grocers next month. – Kiran

Last night we celebrated the opening of our newly renovated karaoke bar called “K Bar”. Complete with an elevated stage, top-notch machine loaded with 1,200 songs and spotlights, we watched Mom perform a jazz-hands version of Madonna’s “Like a Prayer”, while Russell sang Shakira’s “Hips Don’t Lie” accompanied by Dad. (“SHAKE IT DAD!! SHAKE IT!!”) All in all, the night was filled with lots of dancing feet and good times. – Kiran
